Chris Sellings

Teacher and cycling coach, Chris started a bike club while working in a remote school in the East Kimberley, Western Australia. Using old bikes found at the rubbish dump, the young people learnt how to repair bikes and make them like new again. It was so popular that when Chris left he promised to bring bikes back for all the kids. In July 2025 he organised 50 bikes, tools and spares to be delivered. Then he went back to hand out the bikes, do some coaching and engage local people to support the program.
Anna Sellings
Operations Manager | Secretary
Anna brings more than 20 years’ experience in operations, project coordination and executive support across the education, community, corporate and private sectors. She is passionate about building partnerships, improving systems and delivering programs that create positive community outcomes. A lifelong cyclist, Anna has experienced firsthand the freedom and opportunities that bicycles can provide, from cycle touring across continents to bikepacking through remote Australia and exploring Perth by bike.
Gabriella Panaia

Teacher and musician Gabz left her family to teach in a remote WA school for one year. During this time her passion for music and openess to learn from others helped her form strong relationships with local people. Keen to return and reconnect she played a pivotal role in supporting the first delivery of 50 bikes and cycling workshops.
Gabz currently teaches part time and manages a dance company. She supports us when she can.

Stephen Gordon
Chair
Retired editor and general manager Stephen Gordon ran the Koori Mail, the national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander newspaper, for over 20 years. During that time he developed a keen interest in First Nations affairs. Steve met Chris and Anna Sellings while volunteering with his wife Grace in the east Kimberley community of Warmun. Steve, who has served on the boards of community and sports organisations, now lives in Port Macquarie, NSW.
Amy Mosquito
Committee Member
Principal at EREA College in Bindoon and Ngalangangpum School in Warmun, Amy is driven to help others and build strong, resilient and connected communities. She is currently a part time teacher at Purnululu Independent School and works for the Diocese of Broome.
Steve Norris
Vice Chair
Retired remote area nurse, Steve has lead health teams and supported remote communitites throughout the East Kimberley and Northern Territory. Steve continues to provide guidance to Chris and Anna as they navigate their evolving roles in remote communities.
The Bike Creative is a not-for-profit entity, which has applied to become a WA Incorporated Association, with a committee of 6 members. When this comes through we will register with the ACNC for charity status.
